Fully hand-made bannister, built to tie into this original Victorian staircase and actually look like it belongs there.

Getting the shape and flow right was key on this — keeping that traditional feel while making everything solid and practical for everyday use.

All made from scratch, no off-the-shelf parts, just proper joinery.

This was a project we called Work Hard, Play Hard.

Combining an office desk with a bar area to create a smooth transition between working and clocking off on a Friday.

Including a waterfall oak top with integrated LED lighting, glass shelves, and an antique mirror supplied by Northallerton Glass

Soft-close Blum drawers throughout.

A wireless charger built into the desktop, along with an additional pop-up socket.

Finished with solid brass glass hangers, matching brass handles, and two wall lights to complement the brass finish.

Painted in breakfast room green.

Last Summer we carried out this shop front renovation for Eccles Heden Solicitors, and I got some pictures and videos of the whole thing from start to finish — including on site and in the workshop.

It wasn’t just a case of freshening it up. We stripped it back and rebuilt it properly.

We made a new sign and backing frame, rebuilt the side pillars all in birch ply and spray finished them, and then made a bespoke sapele hardwood door in-house.

We fitted reclaimed ironmongery to keep it in character with the age of the building — and one of my favourite details is the number 5 carved straight into the door. Simple, but it looks spot on.

Everything was spray finished, with final brush work done on site, and we refinished the existing window in the same paint so it all ties together. Finished off with some tidy lead work to cap it properly.
