Charles de Gaulle Airport upgraded key areas with bespoke Hunter Douglas Architectural ceilings and wood wall cladding, built to meet demanding airport standards.
In Terminal 2E, Hall L swapped a dark steel ceiling for 8,000 m² of matte white solid wood grills to brighten the space. Hall K added 1,200 m² of wood ceiling grills plus 650 m² of nano-perforated walnut wall cladding, delivering strong acoustic performance (αw 0.90–0.95) and a cohesive passenger experience.

Maintenance access, lightweight hatches, and sustainability requirements were built in from the start.

At the Chiyoda Europe office in Genk, our HeartFelt® ceiling (module M70) is combined with a 30 mm LED light strip seamlessly integrated between the panels, creating a clean, continuous ceiling plane where lighting and architecture read as one.

Delivered with Loerakker (NL), this project shows how flexible the HeartFelt® system is for integration and bespoke detailing.

Hunter Douglas Architectural manufactured and supplied a Derako® Solid Wood Grill ceiling for the Royal College of Surgeons project. Hawkins\Brown specified 358 m² of fire-treated American White Oak with 15 x 35 mm slats, creating a warm, refined look with engineered consistency.

Installed across key areas including the President’s suite, conference and function rooms, plus the entrance lobby and café.

Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup has seen a series of thoughtful upgrades, with Murphy Philipps Architects specifying Hunter Douglas Architectural to manufacture and supply 650 m² of Solid Wood Open Linear Ceiling for the external canopy and the entrance lobby (ground and first floors).

Inside, the ceiling panels were supplied with standard non-woven felt to help enhance acoustic absorption. Externally, a black metal infill was integrated to close the open joints,
helping to reduce insect ingress while preserving the clean, linear aesthetic.

At Campus300 in Den Bosch, designed by DP6 architectuurstudio, Hunter Douglas Architectural supplied Derako® Veneered Linear wooden cassettes alongside Luxalon® expanded metal ceiling systems to support open, comfortable learning environments with controlled acoustics.

The combination of warm timber finishes and contemporary expanded metal creates a balanced interior language, pairing natural materiality with visual openness, while contributing to acoustic comfort across key campus spaces.
