I had a week off last week to do some work at home in the WC.... so not really a week off.
We finally got rid of the 90's "champagne" suite.
The carpentry included a new cupboard, paneling, and a radiator cover. I tackled the plumbing too as well as the decorating and tiling. We're really pleased how it's turned out.

This job came about because British Gas wouldn't service the boiler without a fixed ladder. The plan was to cut a hatch in the ceiling and fit a traditional loft ladder. After removing the flooring above the ceiling, it turned out the joists were heavy duty due to the large water tank up there.
It wasn't advisable to cut them. The plan was altered and the two doors adapted for the ladder to be positioned at the front instead.
