Morning All, Im just reposting this from a few years ago.
So, I have received lots of phone calls and messages regarding condensing boilers not firing up or coming up with a fault code. So i thought I would post a tip on how to resolve the problem to save an engineer call out.
The most common boiler fault with the cold weather is a frozen external condensate pipe.
To clear the problem, find the condensate outside. This is usually the plastic pipe that runs from your boiler to the grid outside. Boil the kettle and pour the hot water over the pipe to de-ice it (this may take a couple of attempts to clear the problem)
When the pipe is clear of ice. Go to your boiler and press the reset button. The boiler should fire back up.
Any problems feel free to give me a call, and as always, I will do my best to help!
