Morning All, Im just reposting this from a few years ago.

So, I have received lots of phone calls and messages regarding condensing boilers not firing up or coming up with a fault code. So i thought I would post a tip on how to resolve the problem to save an engineer call out.

The most common boiler fault with the cold weather is a frozen external condensate pipe.

To clear the problem, find the condensate outside. This is usually the plastic pipe that runs from your boiler to the grid outside. Boil the kettle and pour the hot water over the pipe to de-ice it (this may take a couple of attempts to clear the problem)

When the pipe is clear of ice. Go to your boiler and press the reset button. The boiler should fire back up.

Any problems feel free to give me a call, and as always, I will do my best to help!

What an eventful 3 days. Apologies if you have tried to call me and I have not managed to get back to you. My phone has been literally non stop since Thursday morning. Its been crazy!, The busiest days ive had in 7 years of being in business

Hopefully my previous post helped out as many people as possible and kept peoples heating on during this cold spell.
Thank you for your patience during these past few days.

Another tip if we do have another cold spell if you have pipes in your loft or in cold areas is to turn the water off on the stoptap overnight and open taps upstairs and down and reinstate in the morning when needed.

Craig.

Today Marks the day officially 5 years of being successfully self employed, and I have never looked back!
Being self employed has certainly not been easy especially during these uncertain times, and my business may not have been possible without my loyal customers both past and present.
I want to thank you all for your continued support, recommendations and your repeat custom.
Here's to the next 5 years,
Cheers

Its with a heavy heart that unfortunately following the latest government announcement I have decided to temporarily close for business, however I will still be available to attend extreme emergencies such as gas and water leaks and boiler breakdowns where absolutely essential. If you do have any other plumbing problems i will still be on the end of the phone and will do my best to help talk you through any issues that I can.
I just want to take this opportunity to thank all my customers old and new who have used my services and recommended me over the last 5 years I'm so extremley grateful for this.
Once this has all blown over ill be back working hard and determined to continue with my succesful business.
Any customers with existing jobs booked in I will ensure to make you my priority.

Hope everyone stays safe during these testing times.
Thanks Craig
