From pipework to finished floor, done properly from the ground up.

When underfloor heating is part of the design, it is not just about laying a floor over the top. It is about getting every layer right so the system performs exactly as it should.

We start by installing membranes, insulation, and a geogrid layer ready for the heating engineer to fix the pipework securely in place. Once connected, pressure tested, and left pressurised, we return to complete the limecrete floor.

The result, a breathable, insulated floor that works in harmony with your heating system, not against it.

Planning a project with underfloor heating? Get in touch today to make sure it’s done right from the start.

Some projects just mean a little more…
We had the privilege of installing our breathable limecrete floor system at Penllyn Castle, Wales, a truly special restoration being carried out with care, respect, and real attention to detail.

Projects like this are exactly why we do what we do. Working within historic buildings that need to breathe, protecting their integrity while introducing modern performance where it matters.

A brilliant example of how traditional methods and modern materials can work together, not against each other.

Huge credit to the owners for approaching this renovation in the right way.

If you’re restoring a period property and want to get the foundations right, we’re here to help.

Getting the groundwork right is what makes the whole floor system work.

Here, the team are laying and levelling the recycled foam glass, an important stage in preparing for a breathable Limecrete floor. It is one of those behind-the-scenes steps that plays a big part in the long-term performance of the floor.

The team hard at work preparing and moving in recycled foam glass (RFG) insulation, a key part of our slabless floor design. This is one of the most common limecrete floor systems we install, thanks to its lower cost, reduced floor depth and quicker installation time.

RFG insulation is laid over a prepared sub-base and geotextile membrane, helping create a breathable, insulated floor system that works brilliantly in old properties and modern builds alike.

It is not the flashy part of the job, but it is one of the most important. Getting this stage right helps set the foundation for everything that follows.
