A reminder that applications are now open for new cladding funding for eligible residential buildings under 11 metres in England. 🏢

This is an important update, but eligibility is not automatic.

The scheme is focused on certain buildings where relevant cladding fire-safety risks are identified, and applications will need the right supporting evidence.

For responsible entities, the priority is preparation:

• review the guidance

• check what evidence is available

• confirm who will lead the application

• understand the building’s position while the application window is open

The window is limited and closes on Friday 9 October 2026.

🌱 Plant Spotlight: The Plant That Won't Take a Hint

Meet Japanese knotw**d... the houseguest that showed up in the 1800s as a fancy ornamental plant... and never, ever left.

A few fun facts our surveyors want you to know:

🌿 It's basically a bamboo cosplayer. Hollow stems, fast growth, big leaves, it looks harmless. It is not harmless. It's just very good at PR.

🏗️ It can grow through concrete, tarmac, and patios. Not because it's evil, just extremely committed to its goals. Respect the hustle, fear the foundations.

🔍 Our surveyors are basically knotw**d detectives. Trained eyes, no drama, just a knowing look when they spot those distinctive heart-shaped leaves and reddish stems.

😌 Here's the good news: finding it early is genuinely NOT a big deal. Spot it, report it, manage it, done. It's a garden inconvenience, not a horror movie. No need to evacuate the county.

So next time our team is poking around your garden with a bit too much enthusiasm about a w**d... now you know why. They're not being weird. They're being thorough. 🕵️‍♀️🌿

Tenant Introduction or Fully Managed lettings? 🏡

The right answer depends on how involved a landlord wants to be after the tenant has moved in.

Tenant Introduction usually supports the start of the process, including marketing, viewings, referencing and tenancy setup.

Fully Managed lettings continue into the day-to-day work of the tenancy: communication, repairs, rent monitoring, inspections, records and landlord updates.

For some landlords, managing that directly works well.

For others, ongoing support can make the tenancy easier to handle.
