Plot twist: asbestos.

Found during our pre-works survey on this project. In came the specialists in their full hazmat gear (honestly, they looked pretty cool), the site was professionally cleared and signed off.

These roof lights are mid-install here, but you can already see what they’re going to do…
pull light right into the centre of the room and open the whole space up.
