Quad CNC are very pleased to introduce The Social Shell, now installed in the Old Market Square,
Nottingham.
A few months ago we met with our client Leonard Design Architects to discuss this exciting new
project in conjunction with Arup and NTU.
They asked Quad CNC to machine the 60+ Sheets of 18mm/9mm Marine Ply to a tolerance of +/-0 1mm.
Then itemise each part, flat pack and deliver to the Old Market Square Nottingham.
The Social shell was then constructed within 6 hours by a team of volunteers from Leonard Design
and Arup that had been involved with the project from the start.
The whole project was massive success!
The end result is stunning and is available for all to enjoy throughout the summer in the beach.
