**UPDATE 14:34 **
Long Acre is scheduled to be worked on today and tomorrow while Nottingham Road remains open.
Due to the closure of Long Acre, Mainline services will be diverted towards Bingham via Tithby Road and the A52. Services towards Nottingham are running normal route
** UPDATE 08:40 3 September 2026 **
Unfortunately, the roadworks in Bingham are not progressing as originally planned.
We were advised yesterday that Nottingham Road would be closed today, and our services and customer communications were planned around that information. However, the contractors have since changed the traffic management arrangements and have instead closed Grantham Road, with further changes possible throughout the day.
We appreciate this is frustrating for customers and drivers alike, and we're working to obtain accurate information from the contractors as quickly as possible.
** UPDATE - 2nd September 15:42 **
Nottingham Road has now reopened.
** UPDATE - 2nd September 14:56 **
Nottingham Road remains closed until 7pm this evening between Saxondale and the White Lion. We are now diverting via the A52, Tithby Road, and then back onto normal route.
The contractors will be returning tomorrow until lunchtime to finish Nottingham Road. (we have not been informed of an exact time, and will update accordingly)
After Nottingham Road is completed tomorrow, the contractors will be then moving to Long Acre, which will then be closed. Again, we will update as and when we recieve further updates.
**UPDATE - 2ND SEPTEMBER 2026**
The contractors have now closed Nottingham Road between Tithby Road and Saxondale Island which was not part of the original plan.
We have tried several times to get in touch with the company and the contractors to confirm what is happening.
At some point today, they may move onto Long Acre or Grantham Road.

We will serve all stops along Nottingham Road to the White Lion, then turn right onto Tithby Road, then onto the A52 missing out all stops on Long Acre, the Willow Road loop and back to Bingham Market Place. Customers travelling towards Nottingham will need to cross over and use the stops towards Bingham.

The villager will not be turning right onto Newgate Street and will continue straight on, at the lights at the White Lion the villager will turn right and use the mainline route to Saxondale Island and take the 4th exit onto the B692 and continue and resume normal route.
