How have we not honoured the literal queen of 21st century pop yet? Bey found fame along with a very well documented Destiny's Child run, and has been constantly relevant on the scene since. 'Crazy In Love' in 2003 propelled her into superstardom as a solo artist and is now an irreplaceable part of music history. She also never stops reinventing herself. From her pop bangers of the noughties, to her R&B tinged 10s ditties, right through to the country vibes she's brought us in the last 5 years. Never stop, Miss Knowles.

Every week, we celebrate a pop god that we praise extra hard for the week.
This Friday, we celebrate the 40th birthday of the woman behind the machine, Florence Welch! This superstar, made her mark as an indie-pop star back in 2009 when her band's debut album Lungs earned huge acclaim from around the world. Since then, she has firmed herself as one of Britain's most powerful singers and has teamed up with the world's finest composers. We want more, Flo! We love you!

Every week, we celebrate a pop god that we praise extra hard for the week.

You can't just pick one messiah out of the Spice Girls! To celebrate 30(!) years since Wannabe was sitting pretty at the top of the UK charts, the iconic fivesome are our messiahs this time around. Formed of Mel, Mel, Emma, Geri and Victoria (who's your favourite?), there's nobody in the Western world who doesn't know how influential the Spice Girls have been to pop music of the 21st century. To think they only had 4 years of hit-making is a mind-boggler! We'll get the reunion some day, but for now let's just ponder on their slay-ness.

Every week, we celebrate a pop god that we praise extra hard for the week.

This weekend would have been the late, great Whitney's 63rd birthday. This superstar, raised to a family of musical excellence in the late 60s in New Jersey, has been constantly revered as one of the greatest singers of all time, and dubbed by some quite simply as 'The Voice'. Whether it's her disco hits of the 80s or her belters of her later years, Houston has hundred of Pop Con-worthy ditties. Tragically taken from us in 2012, Whitney lives on in so many hearts and discos around the world, and has recently been named as the highest-earning posthumous female of all time. Forever an icon, W!

Every week, we celebrate a pop god that we praise extra hard for the week.

And with her new record 'Petal' coming this Friday, we're honouring Ariana this week! This superstar, who found fame on the Disney channel in the late 00s, has been constantly relevant on the scene since she teamed up with Iggy Azalea on 2014's 'Problem'. Everything she touches turns to gold and has a huge string of albums to her name. She found a new lease of life when she became the iconic Glinda in the 'Wicked' films, but music is still her bread and bitter with the lead single off 'Petal' already hitting UK no1. This one's for you, Miss G.

Every week, we celebrate a pop god that we praise extra hard for the week.

This week is the... wait for it... 57TH birthday (!!!!) of Jennifer Lopez. This week, it's all about Miss J-LO. Starting her career in the late 80s as a backing dancer before releasing her debut in 1999, you couldn't move for JLo and her sun-soaked pop in the noughties. Perhaps her biggest hit was 'On The Floor' with Pitbull in 2010 - but you already knew that... It's one of the biggest tunes ever to grace the charts. Let's get loud for Lopez!
