Once again our superstar staff decided sleep is overrated and hit it hard, running with the weather 💪❄️
The night kicked off by helping an ambulance up a hill (hero moment unlocked 🚑), closely followed by rescuing a gritter that had somehow managed to get itself stuck… which feels a bit like a lifeboat calling for help 🌨️😂
⏰ 1:45am – first call came in and we were out.
Roads? Shocking.
Conditions? Awful.
Complaints? Minimal (lies… but we cracked on).
Having a full range of kit — from 4x4s to tractors — gives us a massive advantage getting into awkward places… especially when there’s 5 inches of snow doing its best to stop everyone else.
From small fallen trees to big awkward ones that looked at us like “yeah, good luck with that”, the team smashed it. The Valtra turned up, did what it always does, and made it look easy like it was out for a casual stroll.
Thought we was done at 16.05…. 📞
Last team rolled back in around 6pm — cold, wet, tired… but job done.
Top-class teamwork, a mix of skills, plenty of graft, and everyone backing each other up.
Only two more days of standby to go… sleep is pencilled in for sometime next week 😴😂
