Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a skilled Plasterer, where you will play a vital role in transforming spaces through expert plastering and finishing techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovations to new builds, utilizing your craftsmanship to deliver high-quality results. As a key contributor, you will ensure that surfaces are smooth, durable, and aesthetically pleasing, helping us create safe and beautiful environments for our clients. Your expertise in various construction disciplines will be essential in supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Responsibilities
1) Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion for plastering and finishing work.
2) Apply plaster, stucco, and other finishing materials accurately according to project specifications and schematics.
3) Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements and execute precise installations.
4) Install rebar, metal studs, framing, and perform metal welding as needed for structural support before finishing.
5) Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely to complete tasks efficiently.
6) Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing to support foundational work and hardscape projects.
7) Execute caulking, trim carpentry, tile laying, roofing, and masonry tasks to enhance the durability and appearance of structures.
8) Assist with renovation and restoration projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new finishes.
9) Read construction plans accurately to coordinate with other trades such as carpentry, roofing, and masonry teams.
10) Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience
1) Proven experience in plastering, stucco application, or related masonry work on commercial or residential sites.
2) Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading for precise project ex*****on.
3) Hands-on experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, tile laying, framing carpentry, and metal stud framing.
4) Skilled in operating hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and saws; heavy equipment operation is a plus.
5) Familiarity with schematics for electrical or plumbing integration within finished surfaces is advantageous.
6) Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and scaffolding use.
7) Background in renovation or restoration projects that require attention to detail in surface preparation and finishing techniques.
