Carried out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) in Nottingham today. Unfortunately, the installation was found to be unsatisfactory, with no RCD protection provided to the circuits.

Bringing an old fountain back to life ⛲️

A customer contacted us regarding an old pond fountain that had been out of service for some time.

Rather than replacing the entire feature, we installed a new pump, completed a waterproof cable repair using a submersible gel joint enclosure, and carried out the necessary alterations to get everything running safely once again.

This was my first time using a fully submersible gel joint system, and I’m really impressed with the quality of the product and the finished result.

It’s always satisfying restoring something that’s been unused for years and giving it a new lease of life. The fountain now sits proudly amongst the water lilies and looks exactly as it should.

Sometimes the most rewarding jobs aren’t the biggest ones—they’re the ones that bring something back into use.
