In 1976, DL Rhodes & Son started building.

Five decades later, we are still here, still family run, and still putting the same care into every job, whether it is a school, a waste facility, a new build or a refurbishment.

It’s also about the standards behind every stage of the work.

At D.L. Rhodes & Son, our commitment to health, safety and responsible working practices is supported by CHAS Premium Plus accreditation and SafePQQ verification.

Our teams are made up of skilled tradespeople working under our direct control, many of whom have been with us for years, with certification ranging from on-site CSCS through to management level.

Because delivering a project properly means more than meeting a specification.

It means creating safe sites, employing skilled people and maintaining high standards from the first day on site to the last.

Quayside Court is one of those projects we’re particularly proud to look back on.

Located at Colwick Quays Business Park, the development saw D.L. Rhodes & Son create a new courtyard of light industrial and warehouse units, complete with associated yards and parking… designed to provide flexible commercial space for the businesses that would eventually call it home.

And today, it’s exactly that.

Others ask you to see what could be.

Heritage Mews was one of those projects.

An empty four-storey office building became an opportunity to create something entirely new… transforming the space into twelve beautifully designed apartments and three themed rooms in the heart of Nottingham’s historic Lace Market.

Projects like this are never just about construction. They demand careful planning, skilled craftsmanship and a shared vision from everyone involved.

Every wall, every detail and every decision played a part in turning an unused building into a place people can now enjoy, stay in and make memories.

At D.L. Rhodes & Son, we’re proud to work on projects that don’t just change buildings, they positively contribute to the places and communities around them.
