A big step forward and (upward) for Ailsa this week. 🌲

As part of her ongoing upskilling, Ailsa was charged with taking on full dismantle's and was given the responsibility for running this week’s job site from start to finish 🏁

The aim isn’t just to develop her climbing and technical skills, but to give her a proper understanding of everything that goes into delivering a job — from planning and site setup, through to managing the work on the ground and leaving the site finished properly🧗‍♀️

Giving Ailsa more responsibility and encouraging her to take charge is an important part of her development, and I genuinely couldn’t be prouder of how she stepped up to the challenge this week. She absolutely smashed it, taking charge of the job site and showing just how much her confidence, knowledge and ability have come on.

It’s great to see her progressing not just as an arborist, but as someone who can confidently take responsibility for a job and lead it from start to finish✅️

Plenty more to learn, and she’s making great progress 👌🏼🌲

A busy day over on Mull at Glenforsa 🌲

Yesterday's work involved clearing windblown timber from access tracks and deer fences, as well as repairing sections of fencing affected by the fallen trees 🦌

Working alongside Scottish Woodlands to get the tracks cleared, fencing repaired and the site back into a safe, workable condition✅️

Windblow can create a lot of problems beyond the trees themselves, so getting everything cleared and reinstated properly is all part of the job👌🏼

This tree was overhanging our customer's neighbour's garden, so we safely dismantled it, dealt with all the waste, and left the garden tidy afterwards ✅️

Last week's job in Inverawe 🌳

We safely removed a decaying beech tree that had become a risk to the surrounding area. Another job completed efficiently, leaving the site clean and tidy for the customer along with an abundance of firewood for the future! 👌🏼

Working with the tree, not against it 🌳

Here we have Ailsa carrying out clearance pruning on this mature oak at a site in Taynuilt for the — improving clearance while preserving the character and health of the tree ✅️

This was a great chance for Ailsa to showcase some new skills and techniques she's been learning recently, and she smashed it out the park. Good clean pruning cuts, efficient movements around the canopy and some strong stable work positioning👌🏼

Nearly time for Aidan to hang up the harness and let Ailsa take over, great job!👀

As we are coming into springtime now and hopefully along with it we’ll see some more settled weather, it’s a great time to have your trees inspected for any damage that could’ve been caused over the winter months🪾💨🍃

Day 2 completed at this busy job in Inveraray and Ailsa is still smiling! 😅

3 loads of woodchip so far and the chipper has been nonstop 👌🏼 ( I hope that doesn't jinx it for tomorrow) 👀

We are carrying out these works for a commercial client while they upgrade the road to a dual lane in order to build a new development site close by 🏗️
