ℹ️ An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR), which used to be called a Periodic Inspection Report, is also known as a ‘Landlord Safety Test’ or ‘Homebuyers Test’.⁣

➡️ 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐲? ⁣

▶️ Old and outdated fuse boxes can be a fire hazard for a number of reasons: ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
❌ Cables could be fitted with the wrong size of fuse.⁣
❌ The connections might not have been checked for years.⁣
❌ You might not have a modern circuit breaker or rcd protection to detect faults in cables that fuse wire will not detect. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
▶️ This means faulty lights, sockets, or appliances can cause a fire before the fuse blows.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
▶️ Upgrading your old fuse box is a great way to improve safety. A full inspection is carried out after fitting a new fuse box and any defective wiring can be identified and repaired giving you peace of mind, knowing that your installation is safe.⁣⁣⁣

PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing) is making sure your electrical appliances are safe by routinely carrying out a number of visual inspections and electrical tests. ⁣⁣⁣

It’s better to be safe than sorry. The best way to ensure your electrical appliances are safe is to have them PAT tested. ⁣This also helps landlords ensure they are maintaining high standards of electrical safety within their properties. ⁣⁣⁣

We recently carried out the three phase installation supply to a Capstan on the Isle of Coll Ferry Terminal 🚢

➡️ A Capstan is an electrically operated tie up point for ferries, which reduces the manual labour required. It uses a three phase motor to haul in the ferry ropes.

➡️ The Capstan supply was run in 16mm SWA cable run through underground ducting then via a GRP tray from the main main isolation point within the power house.

How amazing does Ardtorna Luxury B&B look!? 😍

Ardtorna is an award winning guest house, located in Barcaldine, near Oban.

We had the pleasure of carrying out the original install on the main bed and breakfast some time ago, using LED lighting when it was new to the market.

Recently, we have completed the installation of a new self catering building, separate to the main guest house.

The work was carried out to our same usual high standards, using LED lighting and air source heating.

And as if the place didn't look good enough, both properties also have outdoor hot tubs.

Again, we worked alongside the talented Maple Joiners and Housebuilders.
