I've been rubbish at posting on here due to being super busy doing everything from replacing water mains to fitting bathrooms and lots in between. Here's a video of a motorised valve that had sprung a leak and got into the electrics in the actuator head. All replaced and safe now.
If you suspect something is wrong with your heating system then always get it checked.

This boiler was in Acharacle, the condensate had not been piped in on installation and was dripping into the boiler. It's extremely corrosive and should be piped to a soakaway filled with lime chips to neutralise the acidity. All piped up now and draining away as it should which will extend the life of this boiler substantially. 🔥

It's the season for burst pipes! Make sure you keep an eye on them in this weather and insulate all pipes outside and in lofts as much as you can. ❄ This burst was in a holiday cottage in Acharacle yesterday, all replaced and drained down now ready for the next cold snap.

Callout to a gas leak at Roshven today, the lpg cooker hose had perished. All replaced and now passing its gas tightness test with flying colours.
If you smell gas remember to turn the supply off (whether it be bottles or a bulk tank) and open the windows to vent the room before phoning your gas engineer to come and rectify the problem.

Fuel problems in Lochaline today. When you get your oil tank filled, don't forget to turn your boiler off as it can stir up water and dirt in the bottom of your tank which in turn gets sucked into the boiler causing it to gunk up and stop working. 3-4 hours of settlement will stop this from happening, then you can resume heating and hot water as usual. All the hoses, nozzles and filters cleaned out on this system and its now up and running again as usual! 🔥 👩🏼‍🔧
