Day 2.

Slow start to do a little planning. Decide to go to a river beach which turned out to be lovely. Floated around for a while then headed home via a hilltop village called Lussan where we had an ice cream and were treated to some opera from an open window. At first we thought it was someone playing their fave singer too loud but it turned out to be someone getting a singing lesson. Pretty cool. After that, we nipped in past to see the cascades du Sautudet. We were under the impression you could not swim there as the guide books, internet and massive signs suggested that this was the case. However, it would seem that everyone gives a big fat 🖕to that rule. So, we’ll be back tomorrow to join them 👍

Only one class left before we take a break for the summer holidays. What a great year it has been! Everyone has produced amazing work 🤩. We’ve hammered, stapled, measured, cut (🙈), problem solved and had lots of tea and biscuits ☕️ 🍪. But most importantly, we’ve chatted, laughed, listened and supported each other. It’s been brilliant. Who would have thought these classes would be such a tonic. I’ll miss you all for six weeks (although I might schedule a few impromptu classes if I can to give us all our fix 😜).

I really enjoyed working on this family heirloom chair. Its owner had it stored away for a good few years and the foam had perished and gone hard and the cover had a few worn bits from many years of being sat on.

It is now all fresh again with new foam on the frame and new cushions. The fabric is from iLiv and I think was a great choice as it has a retro feel to match the chair 😍.

Hello! I have one space that has come up on my Saturday class on the 23rd May.

***New Saturday Upholstery Class Dates for 2026***
May 23rd - 1 space
June 27th - Full
Classes are from 10 until 5 and include Morning scones/pastries, soup at lunch and a fine piece in the afternoon. Plus tea and coffee. The cost is £95 per class.
The class is suitable for all levels of upholstery. You just need to bring your chosen project and some fabric to cover it with. I provide all other materials at trade price and I have all the tools here that you will need.

All classes will need to be paid for at the time of booking. Once I have confirmed that you have a space in the class, you can go ahead and pay.

This lovely wing back with great sentimental value has just gone back to its owners. The fabric used on the back, sides and scatter cushion was also important. It was too thin to use on the high use part of the chair, so I used it on the back and sides and also made a scatter cushion so that it could be seen from all angles. The fabric was a great complement to the chair and fabric.
