Celebrating Conor Daly’s 10th Anniversary at Anamore!

We’re delighted to celebrate a special milestone for Conor Daly, one of Anamore’s true stalwarts.

Conor is, quite simply, someone who can turn his hand to just about anything. Whether he’s on site, lending a hand to a colleague, getting stuck into a job that needs done, Conor is always willing to get involved.

He may be a man of few words, but his actions speak volumes.

Over the years, Conor has become one of those dependable people who you know will always be there when needed. He brings a practical, no-nonsense approach to his work, along with a willingness to help wherever he can. And whether that’s on site or supporting someone across the wider Anamore team, he’s never one to stand back when there’s a job to be done.

That reliability and willingness to get stuck in is exactly what makes Conor such an important part of the Anamore team.

As we mark his anniversary, we want to say a huge thank you, Conor, for everything you’ve contributed over the years.

Meet the People Behind the Projects 👋

Next up in our series is Brian McCallan.

Brian is one of those people who keeps everything moving on site.

Working closely with project teams, clients and stakeholders, he plays a key role in overseeing progress, coordinating activity and ensuring projects stay on track from start to finish.

A particular strength of Brian's is relationship management. He takes pride in building strong client relationships, maintaining clear communication and ensuring expectations are met throughout every stage of a project. He's also a natural problem solver, known for approaching challenges with a solutions-focused mindset and always bringing practical, considered solutions to the table.

His proactive approach, attention to detail and ability to navigate challenges help create the trust and collaboration that successful projects are built on.

A lot of what Brian does happens quietly behind the scenes, but it's a big part of how we keep projects running smoothly and build lasting partnerships with our clients.

Yesterday we swapped hard hats for helmets and headed off with the teams from Pellings and Golding Homes for a day of friendly competition, plenty of laughs and a bit of healthy rivalry.

Let’s just say… the competitive side of the Anamore team came out in full force! 😂

One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned on occupied remediation projects?

Communication really does make or break how smoothly a project runs.

Things like access, scaffolding, surveys, noise and temporary changes all have a real impact on residents day to day. When people are living through it, they feel every bit of it.

What we’ve found is that things tend to run a lot better when residents:
✔️ know what’s happening
✔️ know who to speak to
✔️ get regular, clear updates
✔️ feel listened to as the work progresses

The technical side of delivery is obviously critical - but so is the experience people have while we’re working in and around their homes.

Both matter. And both need proper attention.

What is a cavity barrier and why does it matter?

A cavity barrier is a vital fire safety component designed to slow the spread of fire and smoke through concealed spaces in a building's external wall system.

Two years ago, Michael Coyle joined Anamore through the Anamore Academy as part of a Higher Level Apprenticeship.

Since then, we've watched him grow in confidence, build his skills on site and take on more responsibility with every project. Seeing that progression has been incredibly rewarding, and it's a reminder of why we invest in creating opportunities for the next generation.
