It's a hot one on site today at Wythenshawe AFC ☀️🌡

The team are hard at work carrying out renovation work to the pitch following the extremely hot bank holiday weekend.

Today's work's include installing gravel and sand slits to both goal mouth areas and the centre circle, adjacent to the existing drain lines at 1m centres, 300mm deep and 50mm wide, ahead of sand spreading operations.

As part of the renovation works, the goal mouths will also be rebuilt using 3 tonnes of rootzone per mouth to form a crowned surface, helping improve playability and drainage in these high wear areas.

The team will also be carrying out vertidraining, overseeding, alongside spreading fertiliser to encourage healthy recovery and growth 🌱

These work's will help improve surface drainage and overall pitch performance ahead of the new season.

School pitch ready to go 👌

Today Richard and Jack have been at Euxton Primrose Primary School, spreading top dressing sand and verti-draining the pitch.

This helps relive compaction, improve drainage and keep the surface in good condition for the children getting back out on it after the Easter holidays.

Sandbanding project completed at Golf Club on the 1st, 8th, 9th and 18th Fairways.

A great start to the upcoming season. The team is using the BLEC Sandmaster to deliver effective drainage and ensure the course is in the best possible condition 🏌‍♂️⛳️

And as always, finishing the job properly. The MultiSweep 900 in action to leave the site clean and tidy. At Duncan Ross Ltd, it's not just about getting the job done, it's about doing it right from start to finish.

Monday Moments ✨️

This week we're putting a spotlight on the drainage project at Broughton High School's sports field, completed for Lancashire County Council.

After a drainage failure left the field unusable for 8 years, our team carried out a full investigation to pinpoint the issue - a damaged main drain and slited-up system beneath the surface.

We designed and installed a completely new drainage system, followed by decompaction, sand topdessing, overseeding, and fertilsing to help the field establish.

The pitch is now ready to return to full use next spring, giving the students a safe, reliable space for sports activities.
