This Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re reminding everyone in the electrical and construction industry that mental health is just as important as physical safety.

Working in our trade can bring long hours, pressure to meet deadlines, physically demanding work, and time away from family. While we focus every day on protecting ourselves on site, it’s equally important to look after what’s going on behind the scenes too.

At Frontline, we believe strength comes from supporting one another. A quick check-in, a conversation over a coffee, or simply asking “Are you okay?” can make a bigger difference than you realise.

Looking ahead to International Women’s Day on Sunday, our Director Lee shared a few thoughts on the importance of supporting and encouraging more women into the electrical industry.

“As a business, we’re proud to support a more inclusive and diverse industry. Electrical contracting has long been seen as a male-dominated trade, but that perception is changing — and rightly so.

From my perspective, having women involved in the business brings different viewpoints, stronger collaboration, and a positive impact on team culture. Diversity genuinely strengthens how a business operates day to day.

It’s also important for the future of our industry. We need to continue opening doors, creating opportunities, and encouraging the next generation of women to consider careers in the electrical trade.

International Women’s Day is a great reminder to recognise the contribution women make across our industry and to keep pushing for progress.”
