It is always a pleasure to be invited back by an existing client, and our latest project in Whittington has been a fantastic transformation to be a part of. After previously installing a new kitchen at this property, the homeowners asked us to return to completely renovate and modernise their utility room.

This was much more than a simple cosmetic update; it was a full structural and technical overhaul. We began by stripping out the old utility space entirely to give us a blank canvas. One of the most important phases involved closely liaising with Scottish Power and Wales & West Utilities to safely relocate the mains electric and gas supplies into new, external cavity boxes. To ensure the room was as comfortable and energy-efficient as possible, we also raised the floor levels by installing high-quality insulation and a new floating floor.

The technical upgrades continued with a full rewire of the entire room and the installation of a brand-new, high-capacity boiler to keep the home running perfectly. Once the infrastructure was in place, we re-plastered the space and installed a new external door and frame, alongside a matching internal door and frame to tie the whole design together.

Best of all, our team managed to complete this entire multi-utility overhaul in just three weeks, bringing the project in completely on budget. It is great to see this essential part of the home become such a functional, modern space for our clients right on schedule.

If you’ve been following our updates from this project in St Martins, you’ll know the plasterers and decorators have been busy transforming the space. Our team has been keeping up that fantastic pace, and we have some brilliant new progress to share with you since our last look inside!

Downstairs is completely leaping forward. Most of the ground floor has now had its base coat painting completed. Even better, the two downstairs bedrooms are really looking finished now that we have installed the internal doors and architraves. The big news, though, is that we have officially started to install the brand-new kitchen! It is great to see how much this central hub of the house is coming along.

Meanwhile, if you head upstairs, the team has been busy focusing on the bathroom. We have fully made good the space and truly brought it to life. It is incredibly rewarding to look back at where this development started and see just how far it has come.

If you caught our last update from our project in St Martins, you'll know the team was busy boarding out the rooms and getting the plasterers warmed up. Since then, the crew has been working incredibly hard, and we are absolutely thrilled with how fast this home is taking shape now.

The biggest changes are downstairs, where the plastering is well underway and completely transforming the feel of the ground floor. The living room has even had its very first coat of paint, giving us a real glimpse of the final design. Moving through the house, the stairs have now been fully plastered and have also received their first coat of paint. Once you step upstairs, you'll see that we have almost finished the entire first coat of paint across the bedrooms and landing.

It is incredibly rewarding to watch a property reach this stage. The shell is gone, the colours are going on the walls, and the vision is truly becoming a reality.

We’re taking a moment to look back at some of the progress photos captured on-site in Oswestry last week!

It was a milestone week for the team as we moved into the structural phase of this ambitious build. From these shots, you can see the scale of the new two-story extension and the garage taking shape. The highlight, however, was getting those heavy-duty beams in place for the first floor, the foundation of what will become a stunning roof terrace. 🌅✨

It’s been an exciting day on-site at our latest project in Oswestry. We had the crane in today to unload the beams for the beam-and-block first floor, a crucial milestone that will eventually form the stunning roof terrace for our client.

This project is truly taking shape, featuring a large two-story extension and a new garage, topped with that terrace designed specifically for relaxing and taking in the local views.

We also want to say a massive thank you to the Wynnstay Hotel and our adjacent neighbours. Your support and accommodation regarding site access have been incredible, helping us keep the project moving forward smoothly. We truly appreciate your patience!

It’s been a busy few weeks on-site in St Martins, and we are thrilled to share how far this transformation has come. The team has been working hard across both floors, and the house is really starting to take its final shape!

Downstairs Progress:
Internal Studwork: All internal wall framing is now fully installed.
Boarding Underway: We have commenced boarding throughout the ground floor, getting everything prepped and ready for the plastering stage.

Upstairs Transformation:
Boarding Complete: The upper floor is now fully boarded out.
Skimming Started: Our plasterers have officially made a start on the skimming, beginning with one of the main bedrooms to give it that perfectly smooth finish.

It’s incredibly rewarding to see the transition from a shell to a home. We’re moving at a great pace and can’t wait to show you more as we head toward the finishing touches!
