Compilation of the last week’s doings…. was on his Tuesday
Heat pump design training… weds/thurs radiator upgrades for a long standing customer.. 2nd fix bathroom fitting for one of my oldest friends who couldn’t resist jumping in the photos.. all in all a productive week.

Had a few days back with our friends this week on their Hathersage project. Soundproofing & overboard system that needed a bit of working out. It didn’t help that the building runs that far out you couldn’t do what we initially wanted to do.. great minds of & John of walker build sorted out the mare…. Lower entrance hall is also attached but laid in a more everyday laid in screed situation… it’s a great job to be involved in 😎. Many thanks to for supplying the pipe & manifold.

It’s been a while but I love a bit of retrofit underfloor. Profix is my preferred weapon of choice. This particular one was set up as a tag on to the existing radiator system & is part of the overall weather compensate control, the room has never had any heating before due to the lack of wall space in the kitchen. Many thanks to our friends at Hallam Oak & pine who asked me to get involved. The hand made kitchen they’ve been doing looks great..

Customer inherited a long term leak & very nearly went through the floor. Ripped out the damaged floor & step, repair the water damage, installed a new shower.. built a base, cement boarded it, stuck a new tray in, wet panelled with the closeted multi panel we could get to match in the existing tiles.. fully enclosed cubicle..= very happy customers 😎.. panels

It’s that time when I realise I’ve neglected the socials for months.. I’m still here.. plodding away.. I’m often asked “do you do servicing & repairs?”… the quick answer is yes. This week I’ve found a boiler with a broken front case, an incorrectly installed flue, a badly installed unvented cylinder.. tried to lose a hand on a PRV on our old friend Mrs Worcester… advised on a boiler that another engineer said its flue terminated into a prohibited space but failed to recognise that it actually goes into a chimney & isn’t a problem. Now we all can make mistakes but this week I very much felt like the voice of doom ..

Just a small bathroom renovation/house remodelling.. can’t believe I forgot to take photos once the bath was tiled in & everything was fully finished! Many many problems to overcome especially as the building is pretty old. stressful but enjoyable project for someone in my village.. special thanks for Help from Albert Clarke of build j***y & Pete Sykes for the plastering & tiling on this project.
