I was asked by a friend if I could make his wife a fruit bowl, so from offcuts of Ash half newel posts here it is. With Ash it is lovely to see how the different grains run through the timber to give you a very unique finish. Size was 12”x3” finished with Osmo oil.

Over visiting my daughter in Oxford so I thought I would replenish stock with a trip to Dalmann UK in Lambourn. First time there and it has a great selection of South African hardwood as well as local grown timber, I’ll be back 😉 Let’s see what we can do with this lot
