Did you know your home's wiring has a lifespan? 🏡

Most electrical installations are designed to last around 25–40 years — but that doesn't mean they should go unchecked. Over time, connections loosen, insulation deteriorates and older wiring can't handle modern demands.

An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) gives you a full picture of your installation's health. We recommend one every 10 years for homeowners and every 5 years for landlords.

We’re proud to share a milestone from within the Eco-Lec team.

Owen has officially completed his AM2 and achieved his electrical qualification — a huge achievement that reflects resilience, commitment, and determination.

Owen joined us just over a year ago after experiencing a challenging journey through the industry. Like many, he faced setbacks outside of his control — from changes in companies and logistics, to personal challenges — all of which made completing his qualification more difficult than it should have been.

What stood out to us wasn’t the setbacks — it was his attitude.

Despite everything, Owen kept moving forward. He stayed committed to his goal, continued gaining experience across different areas of the trade, and never gave up on becoming fully qualified.

At Eco-Lec, we believe our role goes beyond just providing work.
We aim to create an environment where people feel supported, valued, and able to grow — both professionally and personally.

Owen’s journey is a great example of what can be achieved with the right support, the right mindset, and the right culture.

⚠️ When did you last test your smoke alarms?
If you can't remember, that's your sign. UK fire services recommend testing them monthly — and replacing them every 10 years. While you're at it, check your carbon monoxide detectors too.
