🔥 Beating the Heat 🔥

With the hot weather finally here, it's important to help your garden cope with the summer heat. Here are a few simple tips to keep everything looking its best:

💧 Water deeply and less often – A good soak early in the morning is far better than little and often. This encourages deeper roots and healthier plants.

🌱 Mulch your borders – A layer of mulch helps lock moisture into the soil, suppresses weeds, and keeps plant roots cooler.

✂️ Avoid heavy pruning – Plants can become stressed during hot weather, so save major pruning jobs for cooler periods.

🌲 Pine Tree Removal Job 🌲

This customer got in touch with Flex Garden Maintenance to remove these pine trees from their garden. One of the pines was dead and hung up, so the main priority was making the area safe before bringing it down.

All trees were safely dismantled and removed and the area left tidy afterwards 💪🌿

🌿 April in the garden – a few simple tips to get you started 🌼

April is a great month to get back outside and give your garden a bit of attention. A little effort now really does make a big difference later on.

Here are a few easy things you can do:

🌱 Tidy up beds & borders – clear out weeds, old leaves, and dead growth to make space for new shoots
🌸 Start planting – hardy annuals, perennials, and early veg can go in now
✂️ Light pruning – trim back shrubs and remove anything damaged or overcrowded
🌾 Give your lawn some love – a first mow (on a higher setting) and edging can really freshen it up
🍂 Feed the soil – adding compost or fertiliser now helps plants thrive in the months ahead
💧 Keep an eye on watering – spring can be dry, especially with new plants going in
