We love this community. But we can't ignore where it needs to do better.

Too many people have experienced bullying, intimidation, abuse, unsafe working environments or situations where concerns have not been taken seriously. You may have experienced it yourself. You may have witnessed it. You may have supported someone through it.

is a call to action for the entire equestrian community. It's a call to raise standards, take responsibility and stop looking away. Because creating a safer equestrian community isn't someone else's responsibility. It belongs to all of us.

Every one of us has the power to make a difference. The culture of our community is shaped by what we accept, what we challenge and what we're prepared to stand up for. When poor behaviour goes unchallenged, it becomes normalised. When concerns are ignored, trust is eroded. We all have a responsibility to hold each other to account.

Meaningful change happens when a community decides that enough is enough. And that's why EQUISS exists. We're here to bring people together, support those who need us, challenge where improvement is needed and help create the accountability, consistency and culture change the industry deserves.

Victims and survivors deserve better. Everyone who loves this community deserves better.

The future of our community won't be shaped by a handful of people. It will be shaped by all of us. The behaviour we challenge and our willingness to stop looking away.

The time for change isn't coming. It's now.

Another Badminton contender we’re proud to have worked with - Austin O’Connor.

Currently ranked #15 in the world and the highest ranked Irish rider, Austin’s setup at his Oxfordshire base has been built to support the demands of top-level competition.

Over the past three years, our team has delivered a lunge ring, storage barn, and a full fencing package - combining post and rail with HotCote electric fencing.

“From the outset, everything was extremely professional… no stone left unturned. We’re genuinely delighted - it’s made our day-to-day running so much easier.”

A brilliant project to be part of, and we’ll be following Austin and Sixmilewater's Badminton campaign closely.

Best of luck this week!

It’s Badminton week!

Georgie Goss heads into her 11th Badminton, and her third with her Dutch-bred mare, Feloupe.

We worked with Georgie to extend her arena to create a more usable, effective space for day-to-day training - something that really matters when you’re preparing at this level.

It was a pleasure working with Georgie on this project, and we’ll be cheering her on at Badminton. Best of luck, Georgie!

This large-scale stock fencing project delivered a practical, durable solution tailored to the needs of a working estate, with careful planning and precise installation throughout.

“Tomley Projects recently completed a large fencing project. The team were very professional from the initial consultation through to the end of the project. Their tender was competitive, and I felt that I was getting value for money. Tom was always on hand to answer questions and to offer other options.”

A result that not only enhances the land but supports its long-term management and use.

Outgrown Your Arena? It happens more often than you think. We often have clients coming to us with the same challenges:

- The 20x40 arena that once worked perfectly for ponies now feels restrictive with horses in full stride.
- Dressage ambitions have progressed to the point where a full 60m arena is needed, providing the space required to refine movements.
- Jumping courses are becoming bigger and more technical, requiring additional room to achieve correct distances with consistency.
- Increased space needed to allow for both show jumps and dressage boards to remain in place, ensuring training can continue without constant adjustments.

As your riding progresses, facilities should too, but you don’t always need to start again. Increasing the arena size can completely transform how it rides - and how it feels - at a fraction of the cost of a full rebuild.

As the ground begins to dry, the end of March is when serious projects begin to move.

If you’re planning a new arena, stabling or barns, a refurbishment, yard infrastructure, fencing improvements, or any of the other equestrian facilities, now is the time to finalise design and scheduling.

We are currently booking summer projects, so if this is on your agenda this year, please do get in touch.
