We popped back to visit one of our larger projects we completed last year to see how it was getting on and were really pleased to see it looking really great. The honed sandstone looks fantastic butting up to the smooth timber decking. This was quite a complex design where we relaid the paving in this smooth stone and used decking to bridge an area of uneven ground beyond, leading into the curved Cotswold stone walling. Our wallers have done a fabulous job to create these retaining walls in Cotswold stone, capped with sandstone. The design also includes a winding series of sleeper steps that create a feature out of the slopes and lead the eye up to the Shepherds hut office space.
A wildlife pond with surround of wildflowers creates a space for nature and a focal point for the furthest section of this natural garden in the Cotswolds!
