Middle section of a wasp nest removed.

This clip show the wasp larvae moving and waiting to be fed by a adult wasp with chewed up insects.
The larvae, in return secrete a sugary substance for the adult wasps.

As the summer comes to a close, the queen will stop laying eggs
and the worker wasps start to become starved of their sugar fix.
This is when wasps start to eat fallen apples, fruits or annoy us and attack us for our sugary snack or and drinks.

Wasp's seem to choose some very interesting places to set up a nest.
The most common areas, I treat wasp nests are found in the lofts of houses and the entry point is normally around the gutter or a tile on the roof.

These ingenious ladies have a nest in a cavity of a house and were pretty much chasing away anyone who pressed that doorbell. (last year 2021)

I have said ladies because it is only the female wasps that sting. The males have a very short life outside of a nest and serve only one purpose.
No,,no,,not D.I.Y. The little stripy love machines find a queen, mate and die.

It is very early in the season for a wasp nest to be a issue at the moment and most nests will be around a golf ball or tennis ball size.
