Another solar and battery installation complete ☀️🔋

A lovely property in Awliscombe, now generating its own electricity with solar panels on the roof and Tesla Powerwall storage ready to make the most of it.

Making use of the sunshine during the day and storing surplus energy for the evening, helping the owners get more from their solar and reduce reliance on the grid. ⚡️

With this one finished and another installation ongoing in Teignmouth, the team are keeping busy!

Sunshine put to good use ☀️🔋

A look at one of our solar and battery projects, with panels across both the slate and flat roofs, and a Tesla Powerwall 3 with 27kWh of storage.

Store surplus solar during the day, then use it when the house needs it. The batteries can also charge from the grid on a cheap overnight tariff, ready to power the home when electricity prices are higher.

🏫 Another school now ready for EV charging! ⚡️🔋

Today we completed another EV charging installation, this time at Sky Academy in Taunton. The great thing about this installation is that 75% of the cost was covered by the OZEV EV Grant, meaning the school has been able to get this work completed for very little cost.

The installation includes:

📊 Perific dynamic load management
☁️ M***a back-office management

A smart, scalable setup that gives the school reliable EV charging while keeping the site’s electrical capacity under control.

⚡️ Another school. Another EV project ticked off.

Another school now has new EV charging facilities in place, with a £8,000 Workplace Charging Scheme grant helping make the project possible. 🔌🚗

The chargers are installed, commissioned and ready to go.

⚡️ Six weeks of solar… and already £420 exported.

We’ve been involved with this new-build project in Torquay over the past 12 months, including the renewable energy systems.

We recently popped back to site now that the house is complete to handover with the client and get all the monitoring apps set up and connected. 📲

And the results so far?

☀️ The PV system has provided 100% of the property’s electricity demand since it was switched on.

💷 In just the past 6 weeks, £440 worth of surplus energy has been exported back to the grid.

Not a bad start — and a great example of how renewable energy can make a real difference from day one.

Another project completed, and another home making the most of its own energy. ⚡️

Back to fitting a Rolec WallPod today as we needed to fit it onto the slither of wall that we had available on this customers garage… ⚡

Simple, reliable and with full smart app control, it’s still one of our favourite chargers for hassle-free home EV charging.

Another tidy install completed, complete with sockets and lighting within the garage. This client had to get a new national grid supply to there garage for this charger as it was remote to the house, so they may as well get power and lighting within the garage at the same time!👌

Today’s maintenance visit took us to Center Parcs Longleat, home to an impressive EV charging network with 108 charging sockets. The majority are allocated for overnight guest charging helping balance the grid infrastructure, with some chargers also available 24 hours a day.

As EV charging infrastructure continues to grow, routine maintenance plays a crucial role in keeping chargers safe, reliable, and available when drivers need them.

Regular maintenance helps to:
✅ Maximise charger uptime
✅ Identify potential issues before they become faults
✅ Extend equipment lifespan
✅ Ensure a safe and seamless charging experience

A well-maintained charger is far less likely to suffer unexpected downtime, helping both site operators and EV drivers alike.
