I’m still trying to wrap my head around this, but last night we lost Albert. He was my friend for the last 18 years. Our lives were so wound together that it’s hard to imagine days without him. For the past six years we ran Conturo LTD side by side. We went through some real hardships, but we also celebrated the little victories that made it all worthwhile. Albert fought cancer with everything he had, twice as long as the doctors expected, and even in the middle of it he stayed the same sharp, honest, big-hearted man I’ve always known.What I admired most was how decent he was. His intelligence got us out of tight spots more times than I can count, but it was his good heart and his loyalty as a friend that meant the most. He loved his 4x4s, loved spending time with family and friends, and he lived those passions fully.As a company we’ve decided the best way to honour him is to keep moving forward, growing Conturo, serving our customers well, and staying true to the values he stood for. That’s what he would have wanted. I’m going to miss our conversations, the laughs, and even the arguments. Rest easy, my friend. You fought hard and you mattered deeply. Thank you for everything and this is how I will remember you... Wojciech Eisler
