A small glimpse of what is to come in Rothley.

This stone staircase is now nearing completion, and the character of the work is beginning to show.

The final stages are still ahead — some grouting, polishing, sealing, and the surrounding finishes — but the proportions, mouldings, and quiet presence of the natural stone are already becoming clear.

Hand-carved and installed by our Stonmeason team at Carvero in Leicestershire.

It’s been a little while…
We haven’t shared updates on this project recently — but it’s been worth the wait.

This spectacular post-tensioned stone staircase is now nearing completion. All stone staircase elements are installed, and the custom balustrade and handrail are currently in the making.

The result? A staircase that is quietly breathtaking — full of detail, character, and striking geometry. No matter the angle, it draws the eye.

We’re looking forward to revealing the finished piece very soon. Until then, here’s a small preview.

A huge thank you to the team of the main contractor , who are now adding the final touches to the surrounding entrance hall and staircase — tying everything together beautifully.

Project Update - Lantern House
Here’s a view from below of the staircase — the second flight of this post‑tensioned solid stone is now complete, with just one more to go.

Each step is precision‑carved and tensioned to create both strength and elegance, and as the geometry unfolds, the drama of this staircase truly comes alive.

We are going to take care of the apron tomorrow and then it is all about the finishing

We’ve just completed the installation of this exceptional post-tensioned stone staircase.

The tiler is due on site this week, and the final touches to the handrail are underway.

We can’t wait to return once every detail is finished and the protective coverings are removed — to see it revealed in its full glory.
