🌿 A Quick Update from Borders Task Busters

Firstly, we'd just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has contacted us recently. The support we've received has been incredible, and we truly appreciate every enquiry.

We're currently still experiencing a very high volume of enquiries, alongside carrying out work already booked into our diary. On top of that, we're also in the exciting process of growing our team and training new staff so we can continue to provide the high standard of service our customers expect.

As a result, our response times are much longer than usual. Please rest assured that if you've sent us a message, we haven't forgotten about you. We're working our way through every enquiry, arranging site visits and preparing quotations as quickly as we can, if you haven’t heared back from up, feel free to request an update.

We'd like to sincerely thank everyone for your patience and understanding while we continue to grow. Taking the time to train our team properly now will help us provide an even better service in the months ahead.

Update on backlog of quotes

We've had a high number of enquiries over the past couple of months, and we're spending today and tomorrow working our way through quotations and enquiries from the last few weeks

If you're currently waiting to hear from us, thank you for your patience. We'll either get back to you over the weekend or by Monday at the latest.
We appreciate your understanding while we work through everything, and we look forward to speaking with you soon.

📍 Garden Maintenance Service Area Update

As the business continues to grow, we're making a few changes to our regular garden maintenance routes.

Going forward, our maintenance rounds will mainly cover:
• Peebles
• Innerleithen
• Walkerburn
• Galashiels
• Melrose
• Newtown St Boswells
• Selkirk
• Plus surrounding villages along our routes

This only applies to our regular maintenance service. We'll still be travelling across the Scottish Borders for garden recoveries, overgrowth clearances, landscaping, jet washing, fencing, exterior repairs and other one-off projects
Over the next couple of weeks we'll be reviewing our maintenance diary. Some routes may be rearranged to improve scheduling and reduce unnecessary travelling.

If these changes affect your current maintenance service, we'll contact you by email before anything changes. Not everyone will be affected, and any changes will come with a suitable notice period.

These changes will help us spend less time travelling, more time working, and continue providing the reliable service you've come to expect.

We're looking for a Young, Hardworking Outdoor Operative 🌿

Borders Task Busters are looking for somebody to join the team on a self-employed basis for approximately 4–5 days per week.

Initially, we're looking for cover over the next 8 weeks while one of our team members is away. However, for the right person, there is a strong possibility of ongoing work through to the end of the season (November) and potentially further opportunities beyond that.

This role would be ideal for:

🌱 A school or college leaver
🌱 Someone studying horticulture, landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance
🌱 Someone looking to start their own gardening or landscaping business in the future
🌱 A newly self-employed gardener looking to gain experience and build a portfolio
🌱 Someone who enjoys being outdoors and doesn't want to spend their life behind a desk

The work includes:

✔ Garden recoveries
✔ Overgrowth clearances
✔ Garden maintenance
✔ Hedge reductions
✔ Grounds maintenance
✔ Fence repairs & installations
✔ Jet washing
✔ General outdoor property maintenance

This isn't a role for someone who wants to stand around looking at their phone all day.

The work can be physically demanding at times, but it's also incredibly rewarding. There's something satisfying about turning an overgrown mess into a tidy, usable outdoor space and being able to look back at the end of the day and see exactly what you've achieved.

We're looking for somebody who:

✔ Is reliable and turns up when they say they will
✔ Has a positive attitude
✔ Takes pride in their work
✔ Enjoys working outdoors
✔ Can work as part of a team
✔ Is willing to learn and develop new skills

A driving licence would be a huge advantage.

If you don't drive, you would need to be based in or around Innerleithen / Walkerburn, or be able to reliably get to Walkerburn each working morning.

Experience is useful, but attitude and work ethic are far more important to us.
