This custom-built freestanding media unit was a great project for a lovely client's living room!
I combined open shelving for books and decor with concealed storage to keep everything looking clean and tidy.
The hand-painted finish ties in with the room's soft colour palette, and I'm proud of how it turned out.

It was such a satisfying job, from machining and making all the doors to working out the size and constructing all the units to fit snugly in such a unique space.

It was great to go back once Cardiff Marble had been to fit the worktop and the painter had done his part.

Here is a chest of drawers I made a little while ago. It consists of twelve drawers, with two long display shelves above. The chest of drawers is made from birch plywood.

This material really takes some beating for me. It is definitely my favourite sheet material to work with, and it looks amazing as the finished product.
The finish used was Fiddes hard wax oil

Here is a wardrobe that fits in a snug space. It has lots of storage space and even room for a decorative shelving unit on the side.

I custom-made and designed the birch ply handles for this wardrobe to match the bed frame in the same room. You check out the bed in my last post.

This bespoke bed frame from last year was a bit out of the ordinary, and it was also my first job with Birch Ply. With the edges of the material being its main feature, I think the hand-cut finger joints on all corners added a great feature to the job.

Working with quite a tight space to allow the correct mattress size, I didn't have much room for floating bedside tables, but they turned out well and didn't look out of proportion.

The finish I used was Fiddes Woodfinishes Hard wax oil, which is my go-to for a lot of my work.

Here is a loft conversion project that was completed a little while ago.
It included two bespoke fitted wardrobes, one was free-standing with two sliding doors, and the other fitted neatly into the sloping ceiling.

Working with oak for the doors was great, and I am happy with how they turned out. The sprayed panels added a unique touch and set it apart from my previous works.
