Extreme Tree Services A Family run ARB approved contractor based in Carmarthenshire. With over 30 years experience in Arboriculture, Grounds Maintenance and Forestry.

We specialise in the removal of large and dangerous trees/tree surgery/planting/forestry/grounds maintenance. We are an established family run business with over 20 years experience, are qualified NPTC and City and Guilds standard, are fully insured and have a waste carriers license. Because of this and our time served experience we are able to offer a professional, tailor made service to suit our

customers. We are an ARB Approved Contractor which is the highest standard a tree surgery business can obtain here in Great Britain. Risk assessments and Method Statements are prepared prior to the commencement of the work involved. We invest in a whole range of equipment and machinery to be able to offer a wide range of services. Our equipment is regularly serviced, maintained, updated and improved to comply with AFAG Guidelines and conforms to industry good practice ie, LOLER, PUWER. We work in accordance to BS3998. We undertake domestic/private, commercial and contract work ie, Local Authority. If you need a tree report or a TPO arranged then we are able to offer this service.

Large Crown Reduction✂️

To reduce the risk of the trees failing and while still trying to retain the tree, we reduced these two large Beech Trees due to Disease found at the base of the trees.

The disease in question is Kretzschmaria Deusta

This fungus infects trees through open wounds, but is also known to spread through root grafts to neighboring trees. The fungus degrades the cellulose of the plant cell walls, compromising the structure of the wood and making it extremely brittle. As it degrades the wood of the tree, the crown may not show symptoms of the infection and appears healthy. Infected trees may even snap off completely at the base of the tree or roots, making them extremely dangerous in landscapes.

A few weeks back we were tasked with removing this fallen Ash tree off BT lines.
Utilising our in house Tracked Mewp to carefully remove the crown of the tree.
The Tractor and timber trailer was then used to lift the remaining section of tree off the BT line.

Short time lapse from an Ash Dieback dismantle this week😃

The tree is being dismantled down to 6 metre stump, once at that height a rope is put onto the tree to help fell the tree to ground level🪵

You may notice us not climbing, instead we’re using our tracked 25 metre mewp to aid the dismantle due to the tree being unsafe to climb🌳
