The devil is in the detail.....

Here's a little look into some of the details we've put into our recent jobs

Removable gulley lids, wooden effect porcelain cut around pergola posts and mitred, scribing porcelain wall tiles and a few recessed manhole lids and other bits chucked in as well

They might take an absolute age to get right, but I think it's worth every second

Have another one!

This is one we did on the carleton meadows development. And if I remember rightly, there were a couple of days where the sun actually came out. Hard to believe I know!

With this one, the ground was sloping up from the house, so once we'd lifted the old flags, we installed aco drains tight to the house, then installed this beautiful Raj Blend indian sandstone, along with a sleeper retaining wall to create two tiers, the top of which was top soiled and grass seeded.

Another one we've had the pleasure of doing...

Yet again, no before pictures 🤦‍♂️ so you'll just have to believe me when I say it was quite the transformation!

This space was mostly clay and didn't drain well, so we installed 25m of French drains, then created a woodchip play area, installed approx 80m² of turf, and then roughly 50m² of kandla grey sandstone

I've really struggled to find the time to post on here for a LONG time, as we have been unbelievably busy! Now summer is coming to an end, I'm going to try and upload all of the jobs we've done this summer in the upcoming days so apologies if you get sick of seeing them! With our biggest job to date coming at the end, so for everyone asking what we've been doing at Plumpton for so long, hopefully all will become clear!

I'll ease you in with this nice little refresh we did for a customer in Castletown. Dug out the exsiting gravel, installed gravel grids to hold it in place, and put down some fresh "lundy lime" gravel supplied by Hamilton's Outdoor Living
(No before pics because I was far too keen to get started 🤦‍♂️)

Remember that time we actually got some sun?!?

Thankfully we made the most of it last week and managed to get some turf down.

It makes such a huge difference to a garden, and these one's will all be ready to enjoy when the sun decides to make a reappearance (hopefully soon)

A little glimpse at some of the details we've put into our current project in Culgaith.

Whenever we cut sandstone, we always try to cut from the underside and snap it off, giving the new cut edge the rough natural look so it blends in with the rest of the flag.

The cuts around the pergola posts were done in full flags and lifted over the posts before the roof was fitted (this one has the added extra of a little rounded notch for a cable to run power to the pergola)

A nice snug little cut around the waste pipe. When the exsiting patio had been laid, this cut was square and filled with grout so instead of re-using that flag, we put the effort in to upgrade it slightly and provide a better finish.

Just the grouting and decorative gravel to go on this one so full pictures coming soon!

Ps video's in the comments as for some reason it won't let me upload videos and pics at the same time 🙄🙄

Nice little Saturday shift in helton today!
This customer was having issues with standing water outside one of their access gates due to the ground being predominantly clay and bedrock, so we installed a French drain to take the water away further down the track.
Fingers crossed this dry weather stays around for a while, and it should dry up nicely!
