Lincoln keeping the team busy last week ⚡

Our engineers completed the installation of two Ratio io7 EV chargers, and we were seriously impressed with both the finished look and the thought that has gone into the design. It’s always nice working with equipment that not only looks smart, but has clearly been designed with the installer in mind.

The chargers were commissioned on site and connected to a back-office system, giving the client a simple way to monitor usage remotely and manage user access.

A great install from the team, and a special mention to Will Fowler from Ratio for the support👏

🔋 Another Project Completed – Backup Generator Installation

Great to wrap up another successful project for a utilities provider, delivering a new backup power generator installation to strengthen network resilience.

The generator was supplied by GCM (Generator Control & Maintenance), who also handled all control systems and commissioning.

At BLF Engineering Ltd, we took care of:

• Installing all new cable containment
• Running new heavy-duty power cables
• Installing control cabling
• Completing the full electrical installation on site

This was a well-coordinated job from start to finish, working closely with the client and GCM to make sure everything integrated smoothly with the existing infrastructure.

A big thanks to everyone involved — solid teamwork and high standards all round 👏

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the electrical installation of a 1.5 MVA Cummings Emergency Generator, which in turn will parallel sites existing 1.5MVA generator. This project posed unique challenges, considering the sensitivity of the site, but our team's dedication and expertise ensured a smooth and flawless ex*****on.

Our meticulous planning played a pivotal role in overcoming challenges, and we are proud to have implemented new cross-site cabling to guarantee seamless integration and the introduction of new heavy power cabling further enhances the reliability and efficiency of the entire system.

Nice and easy end to the weekend. Terminating a total of 36 300mm’s. Nearly the end of phase one on a current project to install a 1.5 MVA generator for a bio medical centre. 🤙

Call out to the willow cafe in Peterborough with reports of the extract system not working. After investigation we found the cause to be a seized motor. 🔧

With the England game on later and the kitchen currently inoperable, we jumped to the rescue and managed to get everything back up and running ready to feed the hungry fans. 👩‍🍳

A result for The willow cafe, a result for BLF Engineering, will it be a result for England ? ⚽️
