This is what we offer.

What exactly is a green hire?

For us, it's not just someone working in sustainability. A green hire is someone with the skills, capabilities AND mindset to help organisations operate more sustainably and thrive in the transition to a low-carbon economy. Sustainability is becoming part of every role so a green hire can encompass every industry.

Some of the skills to look for in a green hire may include:
• Project management
• Data analysis
• Carbon Literacy
• ESG Reporting
• Circular economy knowledge
• Sustainable procurement
• Environmental Management knowledge

Some of the capabilities to look for in a green hire may include being able to:
• Support continuous improvement and innovation
• Identify risks and opportunities
• Translate sustainability goals into business actions
• Engage stakeholders
• Solve complex problems
• Balance environmental and commercial priorities

The mindset of a green hire should likely be:
• Collaborative and influential
• Curious and committed to continuous learning
• Decision maker based on evidence
• Future focused and resilient
• Values business performance and long-term environmental impact

What would you add to this list? We’d love to hear your perspective.

While at the RHS show we did succumb to some very delicious drought tolerant plants. Some of them new to me.
In the left hand photo we have Erygium Big Blue, Sea Holly(thistle like), Achillea Millifolium, Yarrow (light yellow and tall), Asclepias Curvassica (Red flowers) and Penniselum Villosum, Feather Top Grass.
In the top right hand photo we have Gaura Sparkle White.
And not least but I think very spectacular in the bottom right hand photo we have Verbena Officinalis Lavender Lace.

These will look amazing together in our hot sun bed. This bed gets sun most of the day. They are also plants that I hope will seed well and visit other parts of the garden.

Today I am launching a new service. A water use and storage evaluation of your garden or outdoor space for a single set fee. This will look at innovative ways to include water storage and rain collection in these spaces.

This will enable future planing of placing water storage and rain collectors that are right for you. Planning drip and sustainable irrigation systems, Planted dip tanks to aid watering-can watering and water features that look good, help you to relax and assist our wildlife. Planting for droughts and general garden management.

All additional work agreed with the customer to be priced individually.

Reused a soup ladle as the feeding tray on a scrap wood birdhouse, and it makes refilling birdseed quick and mess-free. 🥄🌿

We knew an adult hedgehog overwinter in the straw used on our strawberry patch but a few nights ago 3 hogletts appeared. Here is two of them. We still see the parent most evenings pottering around the garden. We have put water out and some hedgehog food for them.

I saw these three today. The bottom two for the first time at Hatfield Forrest ( National trust)

We have just spent the day at Hatfield Forrest. (National Trust) where I could not believe the numbers and diversity of butterfly's we saw and several ancient oaks.
