📍 Cambridge Icons Restored: A Closer Look at Our Work
Cambridge is known for its rich architectural heritage — and we’re proud to have been trusted to help protect and restore some of its most prestigious buildings.
Here are three standout projects we’ve completed in the city:
🔹 The Cripps Building – St John’s College
Grade II* listed and award-winning, this structure required full DOFF cleaning, expert colour and texture-matched repairs to concrete and Portland stone, protective coatings, and over 550m of carbon fibre strengthening plates installed to stabilise bowing floors and ceilings. Expansion and mastic joints were also fully replaced.
🔹 Sir David Attenborough Building (formerly The Arup)
A complex restoration project for a landmark structure. We carried out discreet concrete repairs, precision colour-matching, extensive DOFF and vacuum cleaning, and modernised expansion joints — all while preserving the historic integrity of the building.
🔹 Peterhouse College – Fen Court
Our work included lime mortar pebbledash trials and repair, masonry restoration, and concrete repairs to coping stones, lintels, and sills — all carefully matched and finished to maintain the listed building’s appearance.
