After 6 years, my son has decided he’d rather have carpet in his room! 😂

So instead of seeing this perfectly good Marvel laminate flooring go to waste, I thought I’d give ONE LUCKY PERSON the chance to take it away and have it fitted COMPLETELY FREE! 🕷️🛡️⚡️

It’s been down for around 6 years, so there are a few slight marks and signs of use, but it’s a really hard-wearing laminate and still in really good condition for its age. 💪🏼👍🏼

Recent photos can also be provided to the winner if required, so you know exactly what you’re getting. 📸😊

📏 HOW MUCH FLOORING IS THERE?

The laminate currently covers approximately 9.85m².

Because we need to allow for cuts and installation waste, the room must be 9m² or less for me to confirm there is enough flooring available.

🔄 If the winner’s room is too large, or there isn’t enough flooring once waste is taken into account, another winner will be randomly selected.

🏠 THE SMALL PRINT… SORT OF! 😂

📍 Location: The winner must be within 30 miles of Peterhead.

📐 Measurements: Accurate room measurements will be required before I confirm the flooring is suitable.

🪑 Furniture: The room must be completely cleared of all furniture before I arrive.

🧹 Existing flooring: All existing flooring must be uplifted and removed before fitting. The floor must be left ready for installation.

💷 Additional costs: Any additional work or materials required will be charged separately, including floor preparation, scotia/beading or door trims if needed.

📅 FITTING DATE: Due to existing work commitments, fitting would potentially take place in early 2027. A suitable date will be agreed between myself and the winner, subject to my existing work commitments.

Another one finished and this floor has completely brought the space together!

FirmFit Flooring Original Herringbone CW-1434 fitted throughout the kitchen and adjoining areas, with the colours working a treat alongside the existing units and worktops.

The herringbone layout adds that extra bit of detail and gives the floor a proper standout finish. 🔥

Getting the measurements right is important — especially when you’ve got landings, winders or awkward-shaped stairs.

Here’s what you’ll need to check:

📐 Stair width
📏 Tread depth & riser height
🔢 Number of steps
🏠 Landing measurements
↪️ Winder or unusual steps
➕ Extra material for cuts & wastage

⚠️ PLEASE MEASURE IN METRIC, NOT IMPERIAL! 😂

We need your measurements in metres (m) and square metres (m²) — not feet and inches!

No converting 12 foot 6 into 3.81 metres in your head, please. Save yourself the headache and get that tape measure speaking metric! 🤣

⚠️ Choosing a patterned carpet? This is especially important!

Patterned carpets have pattern repeats, so we need accurate measurements to allow enough extra carpet to line the pattern up properly. Otherwise, you can end up with a very expensive game of carpet Tetris! 😂

🧶🔥 Stairs & landing looking fresh!

A cracking transformation using Lucia Herringbone Berber carpet, fitted throughout the stairs and landing. 😍

The herringbone pattern gives this one a proper smart, timeless look, while the Berber texture adds a lovely warm and cosy feel underfoot. 👌🏠

The pattern really stands out on the stairs and gives the whole space a quality finish. 💯

🚪✨ A fresh new look for this entrance!

The existing laminate had suffered water damage, so it was time for a change! Out came the old flooring and in went Camel Hobnail entrance matting. 🤎

Not only does it look smart against the existing oak flooring, but it’s also a practical choice for a busy entrance, helping catch dirt and moisture before they get tracked through the house. 👌

We finished the job with an oak trim from Genesis Global Systems Limited, tying everything together for a neat finish. 🔨

Sometimes it’s the smaller jobs that make a big difference! Another tidy finish from Findlay Flooring. 💪

🛋️ 🧶 A fresh new look from lounge to landing! 👌

This home has had a lovely upgrade with Brintons Carpets Bell Twist Heather, colour Storm, fitted throughout the lounge, hallway, stairs and landing. 😍

The Storm shade gives a smart, modern finish while adding that cosy feel underfoot — perfect for bringing the whole space together! 🏠🙌

To finish things off properly, we used QA Flooring Solutions CombiFelt underlay, chrome premium door trims and Stairrods UK Ltd Geordie gripper, making sure the details are taken care of as well as the carpet itself. 🔧💯

🏡 🪵 ✨ Another stunning flooring transformation completed!

This one features J2flooring Naked Oak, laid in a herringbone pattern throughout the kitchen/dining area, hallway and vestibule. 👌

The natural oak tones bring warmth and character to the space, while the herringbone design adds a timeless, premium finish that flows beautifully from room to room. 🤩

As always, the preparation underneath is just as important as the finished floor. The subfloor was prepared using Hanson Plywood Ltd SP101 flooring-grade plywood, providing a solid foundation for the installation. 🔨

Another job completed and another floor we’re proud to put our name to! 💪
