🌿 Earlier in August, Pitlochry in Bloom spent an afternoon tidying up the Postie bed. It was hard work, as the weeds had almost taken over but made easier with a good blether while we worked. It is now possible to see the agapanthus!!

We will be out again on Thursday afternoon. If you see us near the Flower Seller bed on Atholl Road, feel free to stop for a chat. 🌸

🌺A big shout out to the Hardware Centre for coming to the rescue and donating some beautiful petunias to Pitlochry in Bloom yesterday. These were immediately planted in the tubs on Atholl Road, outside the Library replacing some plants which had died. Thank you so much! 💚

🌺 Wow, what a windy day! A small group of volunteers were tidying the beds behind the railway ticket office today. The wind made for some interesting conditions especially when sweeping 💨🤪

We need to return to finish the job but I think you'll agree it looks better than it did!

Yesterday, Pitlochry in Bloom held a successful plant sale kindly hosted by Barry at the Co-Op. We are enormously grateful for the plant donations from The Atholl Palace Hotel, Kindallachan Nursery, Tynreich Nursery, Explorers’ Garden, Alistair McLauchlan, J Kirby, J Low and J Fry.

A big thank you to everyone that supported us. The money raised will help us continue our work.

🌺 Some volunteers were in town today planting up the Flower Seller and weeding the bed behind her. Mother Nature obliged and made sure the plants were well watered in! 💦☀️

A group of volunteers from Pitlochry in Bloom were at the war memorial this afternoon commencing the task of planting up the displays and planters around town. If anyone is looking for plastic plant pots, please help yourself to the pile we left behind the big planter on the right hand side. Fill your boots, any leftovers will be collected on Saturday morning. See photo.
