What a privilege it has been to be able to help support the activities and the students taking part in this year's Mission Mammoth STEAMfest. We were involved in last year's activities and enjoyed them so much that we had to do it again this year.
The Comfort, Safety and Model making activity enabled the students to have an opportunity to look at the ways in which they could heat, light and ventilate their landmarks, with a focus on sustainability and the utilisation of green energy. 🌍
We are all different, and this gives the students the opportunity to experience, interact and undertake tactile activities associated with the construction industry and built environment, enabling learning and understanding to take place outside of the classroom. Witnessing the students' faces light up with excitement as they successfully connected and powered a fan, buzzer or LED with the photovoltaic/solar activity and providing them with information about the use of solar or other methods of generating green energy was truly enriching. ☀️💨🌊
The engagement, enthusiasm and interaction with the students and the schools is extremely encouraging, and it is great to see the young minds of today thinking about tomorrow's challenges.
In short, Mission Mammoth STEAMfest continues to inspire and educate the next generation, fostering a passion for sustainability and innovation.🦣
