Flat roof restoration completed in South Devon ✔️

This project involved upgrading an existing GRP system that had started to show minor cracking. While not urgent, carrying out this work now helps prevent future issues and gives the roof a fresh, clean finish.

The surface was fully prepared with a pressure wash, sanded back, cleaned thoroughly, and primed before installing a liquid plastic system with reinforcement — finished with a durable top coat for a seamless, waterproof result.

The old roof was completely stripped off and any rotten decking replaced before installing a new Soprema torch-on felt system.

Finished with a durable mineral capsheet to give the roof long-term protection and a clean finish.

It’s been a busy day today zooming about Plymouth and surrounding areas dealing with storm damage repairs. 🌧️💨

First job was in Pennycomequick (Stoke) where we found a crack in the render that had been allowing water to track behind it and cause staining down the wall. We ground out the crack and carried out a full render repair to make it watertight again. We also removed and replaced the lead flashings where the flat roof extension meets the main house, ensuring the abutment detail is properly sealed and weatherproof.

Next job was a slipped vertical slate, which we refixed securely using a repair clip without disturbing surrounding slates.

We then moved on to Noss Mayo, where the storm had lifted a lead hip flashing. This was repositioned, re-dressed and securely strapped back into place to prevent water ingress.

Finally onto Plymstock, where the wind had dislodged a tile at the top of the roof. We replaced it and checked the surrounding area to make sure everything was secure.

Another garage roof brought back to life 🛠️🏠

We were called out to a leaking garage roof where water had started rotting the boards underneath. After stripping the roof back, we found multiple damaged and soft sections that were no longer safe or secure.

All rotten boards were removed and replaced, creating a strong, solid base for the new roofing system. We then installed a two-layer torch-on felt system with new drip edges for a clean, long-lasting and weatherproof finish 💧✅

A proper rebuild from the deck up, done the right way.

A customer called us after finding a leak in their bedroom ceiling, they’d even had to cover the bed with a tarpaulin to stop it getting soaked. After inspecting the roof, it was clear the old felt system had failed and the whole roof was ready for renewal.

We stripped everything back, removed the old felt system and the original asphalt roof, re-boarded it for a solid base, and installed a brand-new two-layer felt system with a 20-year guarantee. We also renewed all the drip edges for a clean, professional finish. ✔️

Another flat roof fully renewed and watertight 👌

We completely stripped off the old roof, carried out repairs to the rotten joists underneath, then replaced the rotten parts of the deck.

We then installed a brand new two layer torch on felt system for a watertight finish 💪

To complete the job, we fitted new fascia and guttering around the entire perimeter, giving the garage a clean, fresh look and long-lasting protection.
