Here’s a small cement fibre slate roof we’ve recently completed, the customer had old metro tiles(metal tiles) on his roof what started letting water in especially on the bond between his and his neighbours, after talking to the customer and giving him a few options he decided to go with a new replacement roof.

It’s finally complete!!⚒️

The job that kept giving, we started this job thinking we could reuse the existing slate but after taking one side off we found out the slate was all stuck together and the easy slate system wouldn’t work so we had to find a system we could use in high wind areas, after talking to a few different reps we gave the customer a few options and he went for the Mayan slate system , after waiting a few weeks for them to come in and with revealing rotten or sunken rafters on every side of the roof a job that should’ve been finished in November carried on till the first week of January, but we got there in the end and it’s looking great 💪

Another roof we recently completed for a lovely couple with SDE scaffolding supplying the scaffold, I’ve lost the before and during photos due to changing phones 🫤 but here’s the outcome

All new
Eve ventilation system
Breathable felt
Bbs battens
Dry fix valley’s
Dry fix verge system
Vented dry fix ridge system
Gutter & down pipes
All old insulation taken out and new 300mm insulation put back in

We recently done a new slate roof for a loyal customer, we got rid of the nasty asbestos and replaced with new manmade fibre cement slate, chimney is getting rendered to a flat finish by dan at djb plastering once the scaffold goes up by SDE scaffolding

✅ removed all asbestos and disposed of in a safe manner
✅ none breathable felt with new treated 25x50mm battens
✅ Slate vents to help the roof breathe
✅ new man made slate fixed with copper nails and rivets
✅ new base lead and flashings to the chimney
✅ new vented dry fixed ridge system

Foam! This lovely couple wanted to get a new roof but use the existing slates if we could salvage them from the foam, we managed to save enough for the front then use new Brazilian slates for the side and back to match in with the lower extension. There was a fair bit of rot but we replaced all that with new treated timber, it was a fantastic effort from the team it was hard work but well worth it as the end finish is great 💪

✅new slate vents to vent the eaves
✅ new breathable felt with treated battens
✅ new Brazilian slate
✅ new dry fix vented ridge
✅ new code 5 lead valleys and chimney flashings

SDE scaffolding done a great job fitting us in so we could carry on working 👌

This lovely couple had water ingress to the rear of the roof due to broken tiles underneath the panels and asked if we could renew the felt and batten while the scaffold was up

✅ new vp400 breathable felt (one of the best)
✅ new 38x50mm battens due to size of rafters
✅ new vented eve system
✅ new dry fix ridge system
✅ new verge units

Customers were delighted with the outcome and so are we 😁

A nice little job for a great customer out leigham, their felt had all perished inside so got in touch with us to see if we could help, we had the great SDE scaffolding lads to supply our scaffolding then we came and did the following:

✅ remove all old tiles and refit
✅ new breathable felt new battens
✅ new vented eve system
✅ new lead slate
✅ new vented ridge system
✅ new dry verge units

Little repair job we carried out on the white hart hotel, this section of roof had lots of broken slates/ the lead around the gas flues
And vent was fitted incorrectly, to be honest I think the sticky bandits was up there before the team went to sort it 😅.

They removed all the rubbish what was pretty much the first 5 courses and fitted new slates where we couldn’t reuse the old ones, the customers are back in the dry and happy as always 😎
