Another recent project completed ✨

For this beautiful period home, we created a set of fully bespoke floor-to-ceiling wardrobes featuring painted shaker doors, oak veneer internals, and heritage brass details. We can’t wait to see the full bedroom transformation once the carpet is down and our clients are fully moved in.

Our clients originally came to us after receiving designs elsewhere using standard-sized carcasses that didn’t fully utilise the space around the chimney breast and projected too far into the room. By designing and building everything completely bespoke, we were able to maximise every inch of available storage while keeping the wardrobes balanced, elegant, and in proportion with the room.

Inside, the wardrobes were carefully designed around the clients’ day-to-day needs, incorporating shelving, soft-close drawers, pull-out shoe storage, hanging space, and a pull-down hanging rail to make full use of the taller sections while keeping everything easily accessible.

It’s one of the biggest advantages of truly custom joinery, every detail is tailored to the home, the space, and the people living in it.

The final space we’re sharing from this Cornish project is the kitchen.

We created grain matched doors across the cabinetry and island, allowing the oak to flow consistently throughout. A large floating shelf and an open cabinet were built to exact dimensions to house their cookery book collection, keeping everything practical while adding a personal touch.

It’s a calm, well considered space that ties in with the rest of the joinery across the home.

Continuing the project, this is the dining area banquette seating, designed to make the most of the space without overcomplicating it.

Built into the corner, the bench keeps everything clean and consistent with the rest of the joinery, while adding a surprising amount of hidden storage.

Push to open drawers sit at either end, with additional storage accessed through hatches in the centre, giving plenty of usable space without the design feeling busy.

It is the kind of piece that quietly blends in, but completely changes how the space works day to day.

We’re starting with the living space from this Cornish project, part of a full house where we delivered bespoke oak joinery throughout.

This floating media unit was designed around the way the clients use the room day to day, with space for a record player, speakers and a vinyl collection. Each section was made-to-measure so everything fits exactly where it should.

The curved end detail softens the overall form, while built in oak cable grommets and internal plug sockets keep everything clean and out of sight. It’s a piece that feels simple in the space, but makes everyday use that much easier.

Working alongside Andrew Wilkinson allowed us to integrate the electrics seamlessly, keeping everything well considered and neatly resolved.

Materials & finish: Lightweight ply from Garnica Plywood, hand veneered in quarter cut oak from Mundy Veneer, finished with Rubio Monocoat UK and fitted with Blum UK hardware.

Bespoke Home Office

This project was all about creating a workspace that feels warm, inviting, and comfortable to spend time in, rather than cold or corporate.

Designed in a modern country style to complement the rest of the home, we combined a built-in desk, generous storage, and open shelving in a way that feels balanced without becoming bulky. Shaker doors, in-frame micro beading, panelling, and subtle cornice details add character, while keeping the overall look clean and understated.

We carefully considered how the space would be used day to day. A made to measure pull-out cupboard neatly houses the printer beneath the desk, keeping it out of sight when not in use. Bespoke grommets built into the desktop help manage cables, so everything stays tidy and uncluttered, while integrated lighting adds a warm finish throughout.

The Tolcarne Wardrobes

Following on from our recently completed staircase, this project forms part of the same Devon coastal home, where every element was designed to work in harmony.

We were commissioned to create bespoke wardrobes across all four bedrooms, along with the downstairs studio. Each space was carefully considered to balance storage with clean, understated design, ensuring continuity throughout the property.

The master bedroom features an eight-door wardrobe, while bedrooms two, three, and four each incorporate four-door wardrobes with integrated oak dressing tables. The studio is finished with a four-door wardrobe, maintaining a consistent design across the home.

Commissioned by the team .construction as part of the wider build.

Wardrobe Details ~ Crafted using Finsa UK moisture resistant MDF, complemented by oak shelving details for warmth and contrast. Hardware and integrated lighting are supplied by Häfele UK Ltd., with bespoke mirrors by Union Glass Centres, completing each space with clarity and precision.

The Tolcarne Staircase Journey

We began work on this staircase in summer 2024, designing and installing the core framework early in the build. Knowing it would sit at the heart of a full house project, we introduced temporary steps to withstand the demands of ongoing construction. This is a phase that is rarely seen but is crucial to getting it right.

Working alongside the excellent team .construction we later returned to complete the final oak finish once the surrounding works were ready, transforming it into the centrepiece it was always designed to be.

At Perfectly Housed, we plan beyond installation. We collaborate with other trades and build flexibility into our process so every detail comes together seamlessly.

Staircase Details ~
The staircase is built with a birch ply and solid maple framework, and features solid European oak treads and risers, finished with Osmo UK to match the flooring throughout the property. It incorporates bespoke glass by Union Glass Centres. The under stairs storage includes Finsa UK moisture resistant MDF doors, fitted with telescopic hardware from SDS London Architectural Ironmongery and integrated lighting from Häfele UK Ltd..

The Project: Built-in Wardrobes & Dressing Table, aka the one with some serious curve appeal!

Designed for our client’s teenage daughter this was one of those dream briefs where we were handed a gorgeous mood board and told to have fun. We took the soft curves, fluting, and brass accents she loved and turned them into a made to measure run of cabinetry that wraps around her room delivering loads of storage and plenty of wow factor.

And when she started moving all her things in before we had even packed away the tools we knew we had nailed it 🙌🏻 The final slide shows it in real life use and honestly that might be our favourite part.

The Project: Walnut Media Console

Another space at Ash Tree Farm is now complete, and the living area is home to this bespoke walnut media console. It was designed to sit comfortably within the room, combining strong horizontal lines with warm, natural texture so it feels part of the space rather than the main event. The solid walnut doors and matching stand add plenty of depth and character, with clean detailing keeping everything calm and balanced.

Because of its length, the carcass is built from MDF and hand veneered in walnut by . The fluted door and drawer fronts are handcrafted from solid walnut, and we even made our own inset cable grommets, veneered to line up neatly with the grain for clean, uninterrupted lines across the top. A sleek solid walnut central stand finishes the piece off perfectly.

We used soft-close, push-to-open drawer runners, flap hinges and drop-down flap stays by throughout to keep everything feeling smooth and effortless in use.

The Project: Master Suite – Ash Tree Farm

A complete master suite transformation, featuring a bespoke six-door, wall-to-wall wardrobe with central dressing table, paired with our statement super-king-size bed frame and curved bedside cabinets. Designed as a cohesive whole, every detail was carefully considered to create a calm, elegant and highly functional space.

The bed and bedside cabinets are crafted using precision plywood and finished in rich walnut burr veneer, with premium drawer runners, hinges and push-to-open hardware by .

Wardrobe internals are built in walnut veneer MDF from and finished with a clear lacquer by . The doors and dressing table are constructed from moisture-resistant MDF and painted in ‘Modest’. LED lighting, hanging rails, hinges and drawer runners by , with a custom central mirror by .
