A sneak peek at our barn extension, which is now nearing completion!

The project is really starting to come together, with the underfloor heating currently being commissioned and the electrical works almost complete.

The final stage will be the installation of the external cladding, which will complete the building and give it its finished look.

We’re delighted to see the extension progressing so well and can’t wait to share the finished result with you!

A sneek peek at our barn extension, which is now nearing completion!

The project is really starting to come together, with the underfloor heating currently being commissioned and the electrical works almost complete.

Another project completed

Here’s a look back at an extension we completed at the beginning of the year.

This project involved a kitchen extension, creating a much larger and more practical space for the home. As part of the works, we carried out a structural knock-through to connect the new kitchen/dining space, utility room and a separate downstairs WC, giving the whole area a more open and functional layout.

Loft conversion completed in Plymstock 🏡

A look back at this loft conversion we completed earlier this year — turning an unused roof space into a brilliant new bedroom.

The new space includes plenty of natural light from the roof windows, built-in storage to make the most of the eaves, and a new staircase connecting it seamlessly with the rest of the home.

We are looking for a reliable Labourer/Driver to join our team.

Duties will include:

* Delivering materials to building sites
* Helping the lads with general labouring duties on site
* Loading and removing waste from sites
* Taking waste to the appropriate tip/recycling facility
* Keeping vehicles, tools and work areas clean and organised
* General assistance with day-to-day construction work

Requirements:

* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Reliable and punctual
* Physically fit and willing to work on site
* Good attitude and able to work as part of a team
* Previous construction/labouring experience preferred
* CSCS card preferred

A proud day for Team HHB 🏅

Andy completed the Plymouth Half Marathon today, while Henry took on the Schools
Challenge — both bringing home their medals!

Lots of determination, training and effort from them both, and we’re incredibly proud 👏

A great reminder that hard work, consistency and showing up pays off — whether that’s on site or on the race course.

Barn Build Update 🔨

Solid progress being made on site. The valley linking the two buildings has now been fully decked, prepped and ready for its GRP finish.

Inside, the Douglas fir feature trusses are now in place, with the tension rods set to be powder coated and installed—these will really make the barn stand out. First fix plumbing is complete, and 150mm floor insulation is down, laying the groundwork for a warm and efficient space. Up top, the roof is felted and battened, ready for slating and PV panels.

Next up: underfloor heating and screed.

Everything moving forward nicely—bringing this barn build together step by step
