Call out today to correctly secure a key safe that had been poorly fitted by someone else.

The original fixing points couldn’t be reused, so it’s now installed securely and positioned to conceal most of the damage left behind by the previous fitter.

Busy day today getting a student property fully secured and ready for the new tenants arriving in September.

Installed a robust external key safe so they’ve always got a way back in if their keys go missing, and while I was there I cut a fresh set of spares to keep everyone covered. Another solid day of protecting properties and giving people real peace of mind.

Late‑night call out to a customer whose door wouldn’t lock. A quick investigation confirmed a failed gearbox, so a new unit was installed. The door is now working smoothly again and the home is fully secure.

Evening emergency call‑out tonight for a customer who’d lost their keys, so I carried out a full lock change to make sure the property was completely secure again.

Fireworks night kept me busy with a late‑night callout. The key was completely jammed in the lock and wouldn’t move at all. After assessing the situation, it was clear the lock couldn’t be salvaged.

I removed it without causing any damage to the door and fitted a new BSI‑rated lock to keep the property secure.

Sunday fun day turned into a solid bit of problem‑solving.

A customer’s gearbox failed, leaving the door not closing securely and the latch completely non‑functional.

I attended the property and carried out a full investigation. After stripping down the gearbox, it became clear the retaining spring had failed. A repair was attempted, but the latch couldn’t be restored to reliable working order.

Replacement parts are now ordered and the follow‑up repair is booked at the customer’s convenience with the door left secure and ready for use until new part can be fitted.

Saturday morning call-out supporting a landlord after a tenant left and took the keys with them.
Door opened swiftly and a full lock change carried out.

The old lock was drilled out to save time and, as it was being replaced anyway, it ensured a fast and efficient turnaround for the customer.
