This roof really was at the end of it lifespan with rotten bitumen felt, cracked concrete verges, timbers rotten on ends causing them to drop.
Gave it the full works, replacing timbers, new membrane, battens and loft insulation but reusing Marley modern tiles.
Also new mechanical fixed ridges and new PVC verge ends and soffit boards as well as cleaning fascia and guttering to bring it back to life with decades now in front of it.πŸ˜πŸ”¨

Anyone who’s seen this post from a customer on Plymouth,Devon community site id thought i would give you the truth about it.
These repairs were done including:
Fitting vents to an asbestos slate roof 😳
Slate repairs done off tower scaffolding.
Repairs to lead box gutter.
And finally a chimney pot and cowl fitted on which i had to go up a hook over ladder and climb on top off chimney to do works.
This customer needed to spend 12000 to get the main roof and tenament roof which is all asbestos and he wanted the full works around chimney which would of needed a scaffolding alone at Β£1200.
But as usual only wanted to spend just over Β£2000 last summer.
I knew this was coming last autumn when he said he sent a drone up to look at chimney which I replied i did what i said i was going to do and there was no scaffolding around it so he was lucky i did that.
I’ve learnt my lesson about helping people out, taking risks and don’t bother with these little jobs anymore especially on knackered asbestos roofs.
