🚧 From Failure to Solid Foundation 🚧

This retaining wall had reached the end of its life — so we stepped in to rebuild it stronger, safer, and built to last.

🔸What we did:

• Excavated behind the failed wall
• Removed the compromised structure
• Installed a solid C25 strip footing
• Rebuilt with face block to match original height
• Added two structural piers for extra strength
• Installed proper drainage & backfilling
• Finished with a smooth, clean render
• Left the site clean and tidy

⚠️ Before we began, all services & the lamp post was safely disconnected and secured.

Quality groundwork is what everything else stands on — and we don’t cut corners.

From the ground up, every detail matters. Here’s what we did:

🔸Excavated and poured a C25 footing to the perfect height
🔸Constructed a strong retaining blockwork wall with proper drainage
🔸Finished with clean, durable concrete coping stones
🔸Carefully pointed and brushed for a crisp finish
🔸Backfilled to create clean, level garden tiers
🔸Left the site spotless and ready to enjoy

From groundwork to the final finish 🔨✨

We recently finished this extension, transforming the property to create more space, which included:

• New strip footing foundations and floor build-up
• Ground floor cavity wall extension tied into the existing garage
• First floor timber frame construction
• Roof alteration to match the existing pitch with new skylight installation
• New white uPVC windows and doors
• Structural steel installation and safe removal of load-bearing walls
• Brand new downstairs utility room and study
• Stunning upstairs master bedroom with ensuite
• Full insulation to current building regulations
• First and second fix plumbing and electrics
• Smooth plaster finish throughout
• External rendering
• And of course, leaving the site spotless at the end 👌
