Nice cctv install today at Tommygun Tattoo - Plymouth .
Installing cameras on your premises can be a great deterrent to thieves etc and gives peace of mind when your away as you can view a live feed through the app on your phone 👍

Carrying on with a re-wire yesterday due to the cables being very old (60s) and starting to breakdown.
This green goo is caused by the copper reacting with the plasticiser in the insulation , essentially the cables are disintegrating increasing the risk of short circuit and fire at worst .
If there is evidence if this in your home then it’s best to get them looked at !

Old consumer unit replaced at the weekend for the new home owners 👍

The old unit offered very basic protection and didn’t comply with current regulations .

The new consumer unit complied with the latest electrical and building regs by offering rcd protection on each circuit , overload and short circuit protection and has an upfront surge protection unit to stop any damage to appliances if an external fault or surge develops in the supply network.

Also it meets amendment 2 by being a metal enclosure , particularly important as it’s located under the stairs !

So a successful couple of EV charger installs the last couple days , with the second one being inter-grated into the customers solar system to charge via the panels 👍
